Winter, you don’t stop the lighthouse.
It shines through your thick, bitter nights.
It keeps talking and looking even in your
Lonely grasp on life.
As it stands erect on top of the frozen rocks,
Chilling the crisp ocean waves which yell at the lighthouse.
But the lighthouse stands brave and alone.
It is not frightened by winter’s frozen hungry heart.
The waves of winter’s mouth try to feast upon the foolish boats that face the fear,
But all trust the mighty lighthouse.
