Work Day

Woke up early enough that coffee made sense.
Had made hard boiled eggs the night before to make the morning easy.
Half an hour to undress myself, dance with water temperature, dress myself, put paste in my mouth and fumble out the door.

Check the time and make sure it's not still midnight. The sun gets to sleep in and I have a job that cares about what the clock says as soon as I step foot through the maze leading to the punch in on the other side of this hellish place.

The boss is late again. Noticed and added it to my tally. When I run this hole, they will have a talking to. At least there will be conversation.

The clock works slow. Never has a deadline for anything and leans against the wall all day. My coffee is cold. No one around here understands consistency.

Check the time and make sure it's not midnight. The sun got to leave early and I was stuck, without windows of the world, in my closed in box. I'm not a kid anymore, there is no adventure. Life is too serious for adventure in my box according to the boss who sleeps in and leaves early.
