I can't predict today or tomorrow. I can't see my nightmares or dreams before I sleep. I can say I know I'll still be hurting every time I'm awake.
I can't wait for the day I can protect you in some kind of way and still be by your side. Happy or sad, mistakes or promises, I wish I could be there now.
Your eyes tell stories of wonder and delight. Your spirit was a shining light. I followed it to the point you could no longer shine, I took it from there and created fire.
